Scripture says "Do not forget hospitality" in Heb 13:2. Over the month of March, we are expecting over 40 guests, teams, visitors, and even a new baby. Not that they will be staying at Maria's B&B, but we have beds in our church and a guest house. Today, Jerry and Larry from Budapest will the first visitors this month. Then, tomorrow 17 persons arrive. As God calls us to establish again a House of Jason in Thessaloniki, this opportunity to serve confirms God's call for a Acts 17:7 place in Thessaloniki. Pray that we can handle the heavy flow and pray that God gives us a new place that can accomodate for this needed ministry in the future.
February was a recovery month ... sorry no posts. The two month ministry tour in the States was great. We loved every person and church that we got to see ... briefly. It took a while to get back in the swing of things in Thessaloniki. The church is doing well. A wonderful spirit has made each Sunday special. So many persons have been helping and working together. We love our church family and wish everyone, everywhere has the same feeling. May God draw his bride church even closer.
Greece is an economical mess. Debt is increasing from 299 billion euros in 2009 to over 350 in 2011. It is no comparison to the 14 trillion US debt. Greece's debt is over 150% of the GDP. Not sure what all that means nor how to get my head around those numbers, but it something like the government owes one and a half years income. Ouch! Businesses are closing. Most of our church are without jobs. Our bookstore is not getting by. It is a worldwide problem, but still remember the work here and please give to make a difference. Click on the link below.
